Ice Day

It has been a while since I posted anything. I have been busy. I started school again. I am taking 4 online classes that keep me extremely busy. Lots of reading.

As everyone knows, it iced the last few days. We, of course get out to play in the jeep on Wed. Cole tried to walk to the jeep by himself. He did pretty well. He thought it was very fun to slide his feet across the ice in the driveway. The ice is all gone now but there may be more to come.

Christmas Day

Mitchell and I got up before Cole did on Christmas morning but it wasn't long after that Cole woke up. I got a brand new jeep from Santa. Cole was surprised to see the Santa cookie plate empty and the milk completely gone. We have this tradition on Christmas morning of going out to Mom and Charles' house for breakfast still in our pj's. After breakfast we open gifts. This Christmas was all about sports for Cole. Grandma got him a baseball tee and Kendall & Tasha got him a soccer goal. We got Ayden his first pair of Pumas. When we were all done with that we went home to get ready for the rest of the day. Lunch was out at Mom's. We were lazy after lunch and just hung out for a while. Cole took a long nap and when he woke up he was ready to go see Justin and Dane again. So we loaded up and went to Mitchell's parent's for dinner. The jeep went with us everywhere that day. Cole generously gave rides. We went home tired and happy and the need for a bigger house.

Christmas Eve

This year we had a Dallas Cowboy Christmas. We all got something Cowboy. Cole got a Barber jersey and he loves it. He has worn it at least 4 times since Christmas Eve, including Christmas Eve. Every time I ask what he wants to wear he says, "My Marion Barber jersey." It has held up great in all of its washings so far. I don't care what the Cowboys look like these days, we are fans no matter what. We had a great Christmas Eve. I cooked lunch for Dad and Patty and Kendall and Tasha. Jesse and Jayton came this year and that was great. After that we delivered some homemade gifts. Then we went to church for the candlelight service. From there we went to Mike and Sue's for dinner and presents. The boys got complete Dallas Cowboy uniforms. We went home after that to prepare for Santa to come. Cole and I made peanut butter cookies for Santa and sat them on the fireplace with his milk so he would see them. Mitchell read The Night Before Christmas to Cole and then it was off to bed.

Family Photos

We had family photos made for Christmas gifts. Christmas is over so I can post them now. They turned out great. The photographer kept telling us to just look at the camera instead of trying to get our kids to cooperate and he would take care of the kids but that proved to be a rather hard task for us parents. Cole was a ham so we got some great pictures of him. I hope you enjoy.
