Christmas Day

Christmas morning was beautiful. Snow was still on the ground when we woke up and the sun was making it sparkle. What a sight. Cole woke up a few minutes after we did. He came stumbling in the living room rubbing his eyes. Didn't take him long to spot what Santa had left him. He got what he wanted. Of course he ran right over to see if Santa ate his snack and drank his milk. He ate all but one cookie. After playing with his Santa gifts he very carefully got out each item in his stocking one by one. I think the candie Santa left was his favorite.anta left a giant chocolate football. It took Cole till last week to get it all eaten. Then he opened the presents we got him. They were not as exciting as the Santa gifts. Shorty after the trash was picked up we were bundled up and on our way to Grandma and Papa's for fried ham and eggs and presents. We all love the one time a year we get fried ham and eggs! Once all the presents were open Cole and Mitchell went out to play in the snow. The snow would not stick together so they built the littlest snowman ever. Mitchell had fun throwing snow at Tasha. Once we got cole striped out of his clothes and bundled up we headed home to shower and get ready for Chirstmas lunch at Mom's. The whole day was a pretty good day. Cole learned this year that Christmas was all about Jesus and so we sang happy birthday to Jesus.

Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve we all got a surprise. It started snowing. We were headed to The Colony for Christmas with Grandpa and Grammy when it started. Cole was so excited! It snowed all day. We had a good Christmas there. Patty's sandwiches were good. Cole got a blanket with snowmen on it, which he loves, from Aunt Bunny. He now knows her as the crazy lady. Not sure why.... Got there and back safely. We made it to Moms only sliding once. Made it to Mike and Sue's and home. Kendall and Tasha never made it home from Mom's. Cole got to decide this year what snack Santa was going to have when he got to our house. He chose suger cookies, a fruity pebble treat and a kit kat. Santa ate it all but one cookie. It was a great Christmas Eve. The snow made it extra special.

School Christmas Party

Cole had a Christmas Party at school the Friday before Christmas. There were games and snacks and goodie bags for the kids. We made snacks to take. HE chose a few of his favorite snacks to make, which included sausage balls, fruity pebble treats and kids trash. The kids had a blast. Cole's favorite game was the jingle bell toss. I am so thankful for a school that puts so much effort into each child and everything is centered around God. Cole learned about the Christmas story at school. He told me a few weeks ago that Jesus died for my sins. The next day, out of the blue he added, on the cross. Cole has the best school teachers and the best Sunday School teachers. Anyway back to the party, I was glad to be a part of that and to see how Cole was at school.
