We went to Grandpa and Grammy's for Father's Day. Had our favorite dip, 7 layer dip. Then we had a late lunch. Got some good time in the pool. The guys normally make the pool feel like the ocean with all the jumping in and sliding. Every year Mitchell pops an a float. It has become a quest now instead of an accident. This time was no different. Although, it took longer than normal and Tasha had a hand in it. Cole likes the pool ok but takes a while for him to be comfortable in the water. Not sure why. Cole came home with a sunburned face and I came home with a sunburned back. Good times.

Trip to the Water Park

I am on vacation all this week so we took a trip to the water park in Denton. Tasha and Ayden went with us, along with the Parkhills. Cole was a fuddy duddy, he wouldn't do anything. He did sit with me on a float in the lazy river. Brody had lots of fun. I think everyone had fun.

BNSF Train Ride

We got to go on our first train ride ever. Every year or so BNSF has a train ride for all the employees and there families to show their appreciation. We got on the special passenger train that BNSF has and went to Ardmore, OK and back. It was just a short trip but we had a great time. Cole was so excited. He loved it. We got served beverages and snacks. There was a little drama before the ried. I misplace the tickets or Cole spotted them and got them down to play with. Whichever one you want to go with is fine. I, myself, am going with the latter. Anyways, the conductor let us on the train without the tickets because we all had such pretty smiles. Thank goodness cause we would have had a very sad little boy.

This is the Red River. Doesn't it look amazing.

Turner Falls Park

We took a little weekend trip to Turner Falls Park in the big Davis, OK. We had a great time. If you have never been there, it is very pretty. We did two days of hiking and mountain climbing. The water was crazy cold but we swam anyway. The water stays cold year round. Cole was a trooper. He climbed with us like a champ. I was pretty much nervous the whole time. I just knew he was going to fall. He never did. I did have to carry him down a few times. Mostly he just wanted to throw rocks into the water, which e can do at Mom and Charles' for free. We came home tired, sore and with chiggers. All in all, it was a great trip. We plan on going back.

Ranger Game

So we went to the Ranger game last Saturday. It was a family event. Kendall, Tasha and Ayden went with us. It was a good night to go and we had good seats. They won. This was Cole's second Ranger game. He enjoyed it more this year. Other than the fact he had to sit by a rather large stranger and was not happy about it, he did great. He got to have french fries and drpepper for dinner. What kid wouldn't be happy.
