Easter Weekend

Another Easter has come and gone. This year we had three Easter egg hunts. We went to Grandma and Papa's for dinner on Saturday night. Sunday we made a trip to the lake for a picnic, hiking and some fishing with Mitchell's family. Got some great pics.

Hiking with Justin and Dane

As we were hiking this is what we came across. Luckily it was too cold to move fast.

Soccer

Cole is now old enough to start his activities. Like soccer, football and maybe piano, big debate in the Eberhart household. More on that later. Anyway, Cole started playing soccer this year. I am very excited about since I love soccer. Mitchell is not to enthused at all. There was no influence on my part in his decision to play soccer. Mitchell tried everything to get him to choose baseball instead. This is how the conversation went:

Mitchell: Soccer sucks, baseball is cool.
Cole: I know soccer sucks Dad but I still want to play.
Mitchell: Why don't you play baseball.
Cole No Dad I want to play soccer.

I am very proud of the boy for knowing what he wanted and didn't let anyone change his mind. I always wanted to be a soccer Mom, now I am and Mitchell is begging me not to put one of those "Soccer Mom" stickers on the back of the jeep. That is undecided. Of course the Easlon kids all play soccer and that may be why he chose it. He loves it though. He had his first game a few weeks ago and it was a trainwreck. They are only four and have plenty of time to improve. Cole played goalie in the first quarter and got hit in the stomach with the ball several times. He refuses to be goalie now, which is ok with me. He likes to run so he is better on the field. I have high hopes that by the end of the season his team will score a goal. Cole is # 7. He was hoping for # 8 like Uncle Kendall but he found out that his friend Cason was # 7 as well and he was ok with it. 7 is a good # to have per Uncle Kendall. Their team name is the Tornadoes. All in all I think Cole will learn what soccer is all about and get some good exercise in the proccess.

Our First Family Vacation

This year we were privileged enough to go on vacation. We went on a cruise to Mexico. Cole had a blast from the second we got in the car to go. The cruise was ok but Mexico was amazing and we are ready to go back! I think the only thing we did was lay around in our bathing suits and eat. It was glorious! Our first stop was Progresso, Mexico where we hiked in one of the many Mayan Ruins. Our second stop was Cozumel, Mexico where we layed on the beach, played in the water, shopped and went 102 ft under water in a submarine. Cole learned the song "Yellow Submarine" on this trip and has been singing it since then. I could keep talking about it but the many many pictures I took says it all.
