A few weeks ago we all went to a family reunion. A Pollard Family Reunion which was the maiden name of my mom's mom. 146 people showed up. Mitchell and I left Thursday with plans to camp all weekend at the park where the reunion was being held. Things did not turn out the way we had them planned. When we got to the park the place looked a little run down. Well, it took us three tries to find a campsite that would work. The first site the electric box did not work. The second site when Mitchell opened the electric box most of it fell out onto the ground. The third site seemed ok so we started setting up camp. Cole had to use the bathroom so him and Mitchell walked to the restrooms. Mitchell came back and said, "Do not go use the restrooms!" That's a lot coming from him, guys will pee anywhere. Well the picnic table for our site was over in another site so we had to drag it back, when we started moving it there were hundreds of daddy longs legs come out of it. Cole freaked out. We still were looking on the bright side and decided to get in the truck and go scope out the swimming area. There was no swimming area, or at least the area they called the swimming area was very scary. It was just a rock cliff that had a wooden ladder going down to the water. When we got out to take a closer look it looked and smelled like sewage. Kendall and Tasha let Ayden get in up to his feet. Kendall said he would have to sanitize his feet for a week. That is when we decided to pack it up and move thirty minutes away to the state park. The reunion itself was good. It was a little long and a little hot and lots of people there. I loved seeing the family members that I knew. There was a family t-shirt contest. Tasha did a fabulous job designing ours and everyone wore them without complaint. By that I mean Mitchell. They never did announce who won but we are all pretty sure it was ours. We could not stay for dinner because it was BBQ and the smell of BBQ makes me sick. They say that next year the reunion will be at a much better place. Here's hoping.

End of the Year
Cole has completed his first year of Pre-K. His school had a little end of the year program. All the three year old classes got up on stage and sang three songs. Then all the four year old classes got up and sang three songs. Then all the kids sang one song together. After that each kid walked across the stage to receive their certificates of completion. For those of you that could not come, don't worry, you didn't miss anything. Cole just stood there and did not do a thing through the whole program. He should have done well. He had been singing those songs at home for weeks. Oh well.
Cole and his teacher Mrs. Christian.
